Harsh and Sonal’s House of Blues Engagement Session – cleveland ohio wedding photographers

Sonal was in the bridal party for a wedding that I did back in 2007 (Hi, Jamie and Rhoe!!) so I was excited for her to see how my work has progressed since then. This was my first opportunity to meet her fiance, Harsh, who is a great guy and seemed very comfortable in front of the camera. I’m am looking forward to their wedding in June of 2012.  When Sonal mentioned where she wanted to do her engagement session, I was stoked. The House of Blues in downtown Cleveland, Ohio is a cool venue and just the type of place that has everything for a cool session (not to mention that there is great music constantly playing in the background). It exceeded my expectations. Here are a few images.

Kevin and Allison’s Cleveland Engagement Session – cleveland ohio wedding photographers

Kevin and Allison will be having their wedding in a mere five weeks in downtown Cleveland so it was time for their engagement session. Kevin suggested that we have their session at an arcade since going to arcades is one of the things that he and Allison enjoy doing together. This presented a challenge in that we were having a photo session in an area where there could, potentially, be a lot of people, and I didn’t want to get in the way of their gaming experience. Plus, it was important to capture the ambient “feel” of the arcade so lighting was a challenge (and fun!!). I think we pulled it off. Thank you for the great suggestion Kevin and Allison and I am looking forward to your wedding on New Year’s Eve!!

Nikki’s Ohio Senior Portrait Session – cleveland ohio portrait photographer

Nikki is a senior at Barberton High school. She was referred to me by another Barberton senior, Alex Norman (see his portraits here) THANK YOU ALEX!! Nikki was so easy to work with and it shows in her images. I think that she and her mom were a little nervous at first because I wanted to start in their living room. But, after the first image, we all new that it would be a great session. Add to that that when we started it was sunny without a cloud in the sky, and when we finished it was nice and cloudy…PERFECT. Here are a few images from the session. Thank you to Nikki’s mom for getting us into the high school for the images in the gymnasium.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Brooke, the new daughter of Pat and Shelli Brady. I photographed their wedding back in 2009 and they are taking advantage of one of the benefits of being a bridal client of Spencer Photography Inc…one complimentary photo session per year. I’ve known Pat and Shelli for years and I know that Brooke is an obvious blessing to them. I was SO happy to meet her. I look forward to photographing Shelli’s daughter, Breanne, this coming year for her senior year portraits. Here are just a few of the images.

Tom and Alison’s Notre Dame Wedding and Cleveland Courthouse Reception

Last night was Tom and Alison’s wedding. After their first engagement session (see here) I knew that their day would go well no matter what. The day started at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, where Alison finished getting ready right across the hall from the chapel where the ceremony took place. Then it was on to the Cleveland Courthouse in downtown Cleveland. The Courthouse is ALWAYS a great location to take photographs and an even better place to have a reception. Scott Jones, of Jerry Bruno Productions , did a great job with the party which was still hoppin’ when I left after 11 p.m.

Doug and Lindsay’s family portrait – cleveland ohio wedding photographer

Doug and Lindsay were married just last year. In fact one of my Professional Photographer’s of America International Loan Prints is of them (see it here). I want to stay in touch with my bridal clients since I get to spend the most important day of their lives with them so I offer one free session per year to all of my bridal clients. It was great to see Lindsay, Doug and Mishka and to meet Roxy.

The Hamerstone Family session in Chagrin Falls – cleveland ohio wedding photographer

Yesterday I had the distinct honor of photographing the family of one of my favorite wedding coordinators. Brandi Hamerstone, of All Events Planned,  and her husband Alex, recently welcomed their new son, James into their family. I’ve already met their doll of a daughter, Elizabeth, and on this day I would get to photograph them all. Brandi’s mother was there to help out so we took advantage of having three generations in one room. I was also able to create a new professional head shot for Brandi (which was like pulling teeth!!).  I want to thank the Hamerstone’s for allowing me the honor of documenting their family at this important stage of their lives.

Tom and Allison’s University Circle Engagement session near Cleveland

Well the SECOND time was the charm for Tom and Alison. For their second engagement session, in University Circle next to Severance Hall, the weather was perfect. Quite a contrast to their last session which took place in the driving rain and cold. After that session, I know that they were champs. This session was a walk in the park (sorry…I couldn’t resist).
