Yesterday evening I met with CJ and Morgan for their engagement session on Lake Erie. CJ and Morgan will be having their wedding at St. Colman in Cleveland and their reception at Windows on the River in the Flats. The weather was perfect. The location was perfect (we even had a boat go by at the perfect moment). Six more weeks and we will be posting images from their wedding.
Yesterday, Peter and Kristin got married. The day started with Kristin getting her hair done at Anthony Rocco’s in Highland Heights and Peter getting ready at the Hilton Garden Inn in Highland Heights, the same location as the reception. Then it was on to Kristin’s parents house so that she could finish getting ready. The ceremony took place St. Paschal Baylon, also in Highland Heights. Post ceremony we spent time in the Cleveland Metro-parks for some images then onto the Hilton for the reception. Marino Brothers kept the dance floor full, literally, all night (the marching band that Kristin hired to surprise Peter was pretty cool too). They played a diverse mix of music unlike a lot of wedding receptions. It was quite a party. I would like to thank Peter and Kristin for allowing us to take part in their day, and the Carver’s for opening up their home all weekend. Here are a few images from the day. Yesterday the weather broke and it turned out to be the perfect day for Josh and Jennifer’s wedding. The day started with Jennifer getting her hair and make up done at Studio MC in Cuyahoga Falls. While Renee met Josh and the groomsmen at St. Augustine in Barberton, Ohio I was with Jennifer while she finished getting ready at her house. After the ceremony we were off to David B’s, which is Josh and Jennifer’s favorite watering hole, then to Swenson’s for lunch (and pictures:). Jennifer used to work at Swenson’s and it is an Akron icon (not to mention that their hamburgers are freaking AWESOME!). It was just the type of day that was perfect for outdoor images on a golf course, so that is just what we did. I want to thank Josh and Jennifer, their great wedding party and families for allowing us to take part in their day. From dealing with the heat to laying on a pool table (you’re awesome, Jen!) On Sunday, I met Brandon and Rachelle for the second of two sessions of the day on what turned out to be a very hot and humid day. No problems, since Brandon and Rachelle are getting quite good together in front of the camera. We started out at The Taste of Tremont, a festival of food, drink and music in Tremont Ohio. In theory, this was a good idea. But there were SO many people that we decided to make our way to downtown Cleveland. Brandon and Rachelle will be getting married in March 2013 at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona and Renee and I are completely excited that we will be participating. Yesterday I met with Kyle and Hannah in downtown Cleveland, Ohio for their engagement session. The day started out hot and humid and it got more hot and humid as the session went on (a rainstorm during sunny skies!! What the heck, man?!!) Kyle and Hannah did great, though. They said that they were a little nervous at first (completely normal) but it didn’t show. They will be getting married June of 2013. Here are a few images. Be sure to leave them a comment below.
Yesterday was the first official portrait session for the newest Kaniecki, Olivia Bernadette Kaniecki. Olivia was born this past Monday, July 9th 2012 at 6:30 am (7 lbs 10oz, 19″). Olivia was very cooperative considering the session lasted about 1/63 of her lifespan. Dave Ann and Alissa were very patient as well and I would like to thank them for allowing me this special honor. Yesterday was Ross and Kim’s wedding day. The weather was just beautiful for an outdoor wedding and things went just perfectly, without a hitch. The day started with Kim getting ready at the Courtyard Marriott. The ceremony was at the Gazebo in downtown Indepencence, Ohio. It was shaded and breezy, which made for a perfect ceremony site. The reception was at Pazzo’s in Parma, Ohio and they did great. Pazzo’s is a great place for a reception, especially after the new renovations. It is a hidden gem. Rock the House Entertainment kept the dance floor full and did the photo booth thing. I am grateful and honored that Kim and Ross had us participate in their special day. Yesterday I met up with Tony and Kim in Cuyahoga Falls for their engagement session. They will be getting married in October at Brookside Farm, which will be beautiful in autumn. Kim has been a bridesmaid in two other weddings that I’ve photographed in the past so it’s exciting to be participating in her wedding day. Having worked with me two other times, it seemed that she was prepared. And all of Tony’s practicing in front of the mirror paid off on this day. I’m looking forward to their wedding day. Saturday Mark and Jorge had their reception at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. They were married in Jorge’s home of Argentina and decided since many of their friends and some family couldn’t attend, they would have a reception in Cleveland. They have family in Cleveland and Jorge spent time here as part of the architectural team that built the newest addition to the Cleveland Museum of Art. I was able to meet their son Kael (two years old, 100% bi-lingual and 100% adorable). The Botanical Gardens Clark Room was set up like a lounge, with sofas and cushy chairs. Mark and Jorge’s first dance, a Tango, was a thrill to watch (plus I learned that the Tango was traditionally a dance between two men in competition to win the affections of a prostitute. Who knew?!!) I want to thank Jorge and Mark for allowing me to take part in their celebration. Here are a few images from the event.
