Dave and Ashlee’s Cleveland engagement session

As a Cleveland wedding photographer, one of the things that I like to do with my wedding clients is have a photography session with them before their wedding day (I usually insist on one). If my clients wish to have more than one engagement session I will do it and it is included in our wedding photography service. The better prepared they are for their wedding day, the better they will DO on their wedding day. This was Dave and Ashlee’s second session before their May wedding in Cleveland and reception at Michaud’s in Strongsville. I have to say, they are definitely ready for their wedding day. Vince and Lisa’s Akron Engagement Session – cleveland wedding photographers

Yesterday I met Vince and Lisa in Akron’s Merriman Valley for their engagement session. They will be getting married this month with their wedding and reception at Todaro’s Party Center in the Valley. The day was absolutely gorgeous. Sunny and just the right temperature for an engagement session in Akron. We drove around just looking for the right light combined with the textures of nature. Vytas and Berta’s Cleveland Photography Session – cleveland wedding photographers

On Sunday, I met Vytas and Berta on the west bank of the Flats in downtown Cleveland for their photo session. They will be having their wedding and reception at The Club at Hillbrook. Since their wedding site is more rural than urban, they decided that this session would be as urban as possible. Not many other areas in downtown Cleveland meet that criteria better than the west bank of the Flats. It was a blustery day, and our biggest challenge was handling the wind. We worked with it and accomplished our goal. Vytas and Berta are great in front of the camera and their wedding at The Club at Hillbrook should be fantastic. Eric and Carolyn’s downtown Akron Photography Session – cleveland wedding photographers

Yesterday I was able to officially meet Eric and Carolyn for the first time during their engagement session. They will be getting married in August at the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge with their reception at Guy’s Party Center. They live in Florida and were in town for some wedding planning so we met up for their engagement session. We met in downtown Akron near the Akron Art Museum next to Musica at Urban Eats (yummy stuff there!) The day was beautiful and the weather was perfect. So, what do we do? We start our session indoors at Musica!! The light in there was beautiful and I just couldn’t resist. Like everyone that steps in front of the camera for the first time, they were a little apprehensive, but that quickly changed. Eric and Carolyn were fantastic and the camera just loves them. Kyle and Hannah’s Cleveland Sunset Photo Session – cleveland wedding photographers

A photo session at sunset. That was the goal of Kyle and Hannah. They will be getting married in June at Olmsted Falls Community Church with their wedding reception at Avon Oaks Country Club. For their sunset photo session we met at Huntington Beach in Bay Village. After getting some various images around the Huntington Beach area, it was time. And, as usual, the Cleveland sunset didn’t disappoint. The sky was on FIRE! It was the perfect way to prepare for Kyle and Hannah’s wedding day and I am looking forward to June. Craig and Christina’s Spring Photo Session – cleveland wedding photographers

Craig and Christina’s wedding is rapidly approaching (they will be getting married in June at St. Pascal with their wedding reception at Landerhaven ). So, on the day that we met to plan out their wedding day, we had a brief photo session. We decided to go to a local park in Highland Heights and the day was just beautiful, save for a little wind (ok…A LOT of wind). We worked our way thru it, though. Derek and Michelle’s Cleveland Museum of Art Photo session – cleveland wedding photographers

We rescheduled Derek and Michelle’s session a few weeks ago because of inclement weather. We met yesterday at Wade Oval Park in University Circle across from Severance Hall and we knew that we made the right decision. It was BEAUTIFUL!  A lot of direct sunlight (which I love) and the perfect backdrop. This was the first time that we met face to face so it was important to get them comfortable with me and with being in front of the camera. We walked around the Cleveland Museum of Art looking for the best direction of light. Derek and Michelle were great (I thought that they were joking when Michelle said she was nervous, they were doing that well). Derek and Michelle will be getting married at Windows on the River in May and I have no doubt that they will be awesome! Nick and Ryann’s Cleveland Photography Session – cleveland wedding photographers

Yesterday, I met up with Nick and Ryann for their engagement session, They will be getting married this December with the wedding at Holy Angels Church in Bainbridge, Ohio and the reception at The Bertram Inn. Nick and Ryann LOVE Cleveland (who doesn’t?). They love the Indians, they love the Browns. So, we went to the heart of downtown Cleveland, the famous East Fourth street. East Fourth is, by far, the most popular location for photographs, so I always want to approach each clients session there differently. Nick and Ryann didn’t disappoint. They had fun and enjoyed each other in front of the camera. We went up and down East Fourth in into all it’s nooks and crannies (such a strange phrase, no?) finding all kinds of nice chunks of light. We went to other Cleveland landmarks: Browns Stadium (or whatever it’s called now); Progressive Field ; and ended up at Playhouse Square (a favorite area of mine). I’m looking forward to their December wedding but I have a feeling we MAY be doing another session before then :) Below are a few images from the session. Steve and Toni’s cleveland winter photo session – cleveland wedding photographers

There was snow in the forecast yesterday, so my clients Steve and Toni contacted me the day of to see if it would be possible to have an evening snow photography session in Cleveland. My response…”HECK YEAH!!” You can’t schedule the weather so we take advantage of it when we can. That is why clients like Steve and Toni are so incredible. They think outside the box. I met Toni when she was the maid of honor for my client, Laura, who had her wedding at The Union Club of Cleveland -here-  I knew that they would be great, and after last night, I know I was right. In the most extreme conditions in and around Wade Oval Park, Severance Hall and the Cleveland Museum of Art, they were troopers in weather that even made ME cold! I’m very excited to be working with Steve and Toni and I look forward to their wedding this October. Matt and Beth’s Cleveland Photography Session – cleveland wedding photographers

On Sunday, I met up with Matt & Beth in downtown Cleveland on the popular East Fourth Street for their engagement session. It was 25 degrees and windy by the lake but that didn’t stop them. For this session Matt and Beth wanted to concentrate strictly on Cleveland’s East Fourth Street, which is a favorite spot of theirs. We started out near Euclid by the House of Blues and worked our way up. They had a lot of great ideas and I am very excited and looking forward their wedding in 2014.
