I met Jenna and her mom for her senior pictures Barberton High School. Jenna is a senior at Barberton and is active in basketball and soccer. We had dual goals for this senior session. We wanted to do some pictures outside and capture some of the fall colors. We also wanted to get some images of Jenna in both of her uniforms.
It was fairly chilly and cloudy outside which presented its own set of challenges. Jenna was great though. Doing senior pictures on location ensures of a couple things. First, and most importantly, it ensures that the senior’s pictures are 100% unique. We can go to the same spot 3 times in one week and it will look different each time. Especially this time of year. I love working in full sunlight, but a full cloudy day offers some unique opportunities. Secondly, doing senior portraits on location makes it more convenient for my clients since we have the session at a location near them. Lastly, it allows each student to truly reflect who they are at this time in their lives by have their senior pictures reflect their interests. For Jenna, it was basketball and soccer. We had access to a soccer field with he net set up so we used that. We also had exclusive access to the gymnasium at Barberton High school. It ended up be a long but great session.
